If I don’t get a scholarship to study in the US, what are the most economical options?

Even without a scholarship, you can still reduce your total study abroad costs by choosing a school with affordable tuition or starting at a community college before transferring to a four-year university.

The 2+2 pathway allows students to complete approximately two years at a community college, then transfer to a university to complete their bachelor’s degree. This can help reduce costs during the first two years.

You can also find schools with lower tuition fees or those that offer automatic scholarships and merit-based scholarships for international students.

International students on F-1 visas must comply with US regulations regarding employment. Students may be permitted to work on campus under certain conditions, but should not rely on part-time work as their primary source of funding for tuition and living expenses.
